I have read the story about the moon and Abraham years back. The narrative said that in the beginning Abraham thought that the moon was God. He was so amazed with the site of it one full-moon night that he went to the extent of worshipping it. He went on watching the moon until it went out of his sight. As a result of the setting of the moon Abraham was dismayed and said, “Ah this is not God”. Then, one day, Abraham received a revelation from God telling him that he must not worship the moon, the stars and the sun because they are just ornaments in the sky. Nonetheless, He was also told that the moon was created to give some radiance in the night at some periods of the months, and to mark days on earth.
I told the same story to some children before. And one little girl said, teacher my classmates got only stars on their paper. I am happy because I always get a moon with a smiling face and glimmering eyes.
