GROUP ACTIVITIES AND SOCIAL CHANGE

Social change in line with the concept of modernization of technologies in major sectors of the business industry encouraged the emergence of collective behavior. This was simply apathy to modernization. This observation was supported by the report of Dennis Roddy in October 18, 1999, a staff writer of Post-Gazette. For example, the English Luddites cloth maker employees were so disgusted to find out that the technology was mechanized. The mechanization required fewer workers. Mechanization then caused so many of the weavers lose their jobs. Similar consequence was with the use of computers in most writing jobs.
